CLUB RULES & REGULATIONS
- General Conduct
• All students must show respect to instructors, fellow students, and the training environment.
• Discipline, punctuality, and sincerity are core values of our training system.
• Disruptive behaviour or use of foul language will not be tolerated.
• Students must maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness during training. - Fee Policies
• All fees must be paid on or before the 5th of every month.
• Late payments will incur a penalty of Rs. 100 per week after the due date.
• A one-time registration fee (non-refundable) is applicable at the time of admission.
• Fee once paid is non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-adjustable under any circumstances.
• Trial classes, if offered, are limited to one per student.
• Fees are charged monthly, regardless of attendance, holidays, or student absences.
• Uniforms, belts, safety gear, and exam/grading fees are charged separately.
• Competition entry fees are separate and must be paid before the registration deadline for each event.
• The right to increase or revise the fee structure rests solely with the club management.
• Fee revision (if any) will typically occur once a year and may apply to community classes, school programs, and dojo classes, based on the club’s financial situation, operational costs, and facility expenses.
• All changes will be informed in advance, and the club reserves full discretion over when and how fees are adjusted.3. Class Policies
* A minimum of 5 students is required to start or continue a group class.
* Students must arrive 10 minutes before class start time.
* Regular attendance is expected. Students missing classes due to valid reasons must
inform the instructor in advance.
* Make-up classes are not guaranteed and subject to availability.
* Students must participate in warm-ups and stretching exercises to prevent injuries4. Uniform and Equipment
* Karate: White gi (Shito-Ryu style), belt as per rank.
* Gymnastics: Flexible leotards or sportswear; no jewelry.
* Boxing/Kickboxing: Club T-shirt, track pants/shorts, gloves, hand wraps, mouthguard.
* Safety gear (shin guards, headgear, etc.) must be used during sparring.
* No training will be allowed without proper uniform and gear.

* Uniform: Traditional white karate gi (Shito-Ryu style) and belt as per rank.

* Chest GuardAll protective equipment must be worn during sparring and kumite sessions.
No sparring is allowed without complete safety gear.Boxing / Kickboxing / MMA

Safety gear is mandatory for all contact drills, pad work, sparring, and full-contact
sessions. Students without proper gear will not be permitted to train5. Safety & Health
* Any injuries, health concerns, or medical conditions must be reported to the instructor
before training.
* Students must not train when sick or injured.
* Sparring and physical contact are allowed only under instructor supervision.
* Coaches or management will not be responsible for any kind of injuries, accidents, or
health issues arising during training or events. However, basic first aid will be provided
on-site.
* Parents/guardians must ensure children are physically fit to participate in training6. Belt Grading & Evaluation
* Belt tests will be conducted every 3–6 months depending on student progress and
readiness.
* Students must meet minimum attendance, demonstrate required techniques, and
receive instructor approval to be eligible.
* Belt examination fees are fixed by the affiliated association and must be paid to the
association’s or club’s official account as instructed at the time of registration.
* No objections will be entertained regarding the exam fee or its payment process.
* Once registered, students must attend the grading exam. If a student is unable to attend,
they may appear in the next scheduled exam only with a valid reason submitted via
email and approved by club management.
* No refunds will be issued for missed exams under any circumstance7. Photography & Media
* Club reserves the right to capture photos/videos during training for promotional
purposes.
* Parents/guardians must notify in writing if they do not consent to media usage.8. Parental Guidelines (For Minors)
* Parents are strictly not allowed inside the training area during classes to avoid
distractions and ensure focused training.
* An exception is made only for kids below 5 years, and only for the first 2 sessions. After
that, parents must wait outside.
* It is the sole responsibility of parents/guardians to pick up their children on time after
class.
* The club will not be held responsible for children left unattended after class hours.
* If a parent is running late, they must inform the management in advance. Failure to do
so repeatedly may result in disciplinary action.9. Cancellation & Termination
* The club reserves the right to immediately terminate a student’s enrolment in case of:
* Misconduct, misbehaviour, or indiscipline by the student.
* Inappropriate behaviour or interference from parents/guardians.
* No refunds will be provided in such cases, and the decision of the club management will10. Class Schedule & Holidays
* Festival holidays and government-declared holidays will not be compensated, and
classes will remain closed as per the club’s holiday calendar.
* If a group class is missed due to instructor unavailability, the class will be compensated
only after checking the clubhouse or venue availability.
* Compensation is not guaranteed for missed sessions due to factors beyond the club’s
control, including venue closures, weather conditions, or emergencies11. Competition & Safety Gear Guidelines (Final)
* For participation in any state, national, international, invitational, or selection-level
Karate competitions, all students must wear complete KIO (Karate India Organisation)
approved Kumite safety gear.
* This includes:
* KIO-approved headgear
* Chest guard
* Gloves
* Shin and instep protectors
* Mouth guard
* Groin guard
* For Kata performers, wearing an approved canvas cloth karate gi is mandatory.
* All safety gear and uniforms must be purchased through the club to ensure compliance
with KIO standards.
* Outside or non-approved safety gear will not be permitted under any circumstances.
* No student will be allowed to participate in Kumite or Kata events without full,
regulation-compliant attire and equipment.
* It is the student’s/parent’s responsibility to procure the required competition gear and
uniform as per the above guidelines.
* All students and parents must strictly abide by the competition rules and regulations.
Any attempt to blame the club, coaches, or officials for competition outcomes or
uncertain results will not be tolerated.
* If such behaviour is observed, the student will face immediate termination from the club
without further consideration12. United Martial Arts Club (UMC) – Beltwise Tournament Eligibility Policy
To maintain high standards of skill, discipline, and safety, participation in tournaments will be allowed strictly based on the student’s current belt rank, training consistency, and readiness. The following eligibility criteria must be adhered to for all local, state, national, and international events.⚪ Yellow & Orange Belts
Eligible Competitions:
- Inter-Club Tournaments
- District-Level Invitational Championships
Objective:
Foundation level exposure to competition rules, etiquette, and performance under pressure.
🟢 Green Belts
Eligible Competitions:
- Inter-Club Tournaments
- District-Level Invitational Championships
- State-Level Invitational Championships
Objective:
Build competitive experience and prepare for broader state-level events.
🔵 Blue Belts
Eligible Competitions:
- Inter-Club Tournaments
- District-Level Invitational Championships
- State-Level Invitational Championships
- National-Level Invitational Championships
Objective:
Test technical refinement and control at higher levels of competition.
🟤 Brown Belts (All Kyu Grades)
Eligible Competitions:
- All Invitational Championships (Club, District, State, National)
- State-Level Selection Tournaments
- National-Level Selection Tournaments
Objective:
Advanced competition experience; opportunity to qualify for national-level selections.
⚫ Black Belts (1st Dan & Above)
Eligible Competitions:
- All Levels of Invitational Championships
- State & National Selection Tournaments
- International Level Championships (AKF/WKF)
- WKF-Approved Series (Series A, Series B, Premier League, etc.)
Objective:
Perform at elite levels and represent at international platforms with federation approval.
📌 UMC Mandatory Requirements for All Belt Grades:
- ✅ Coach Recommendation is compulsory for any external participation.
- ✅ Minimum 80% Attendance in regular classes over the past 2 months.
- ✅ Technical Readiness Assessment: Student must demonstrate performance-level kata/kumite.
- ✅ Proper Safety Gear (WKF Approved) is mandatory for kumite participants.
- ✅ Parental Consent required for minors competing outside club-level.
- ✅ Behavior & Discipline: Clean disciplinary record required for participation.
- ✅ Internal Selection Trials will be held if required for high-level events.
⚠️ Mandatory Pre-Tournament Training & Preparation Package
As per UMC Terms & Conditions, minimum 1-month of regular tournament-focused special training is mandatory for all students selected to compete in any District, State, National, or International level competitions.
📦 A tournament preparation fee/package will apply, covering:
- Special training sessions
* Advanced coaching & match strategies
- Tournament-specific conditioning
- Mock rounds, scoring systems & rules briefings
📌 Training Fee: ₹5000/- (applicable)
This includes: (Applicable only for State & National Selections & National Level Invitational Competition + International Competition Preparation only)
* 1 month of training (4 sessions on Sundays, 2–3 hours each)
